Preparing for Valentine's Day

My friend, Carrie Beth, posted pictures of her girls creating cute heart pictures for Valentine's Day. I thought it looked like so much fun, so Ella and I gave it a try one afternoon (before Valentine's Day...I am a bit behind in blogging). All you do is take toilet paper rolls or a paper towel roll, bend the end to make a heart, and tape the top to keep the heart-shape. I used one paper towel roll and cut it into four sections so we could use four different colors. Then let the stamping begin! We had a great time creating "love pictures" and it was so easy! We gave one picture to Daddy for his office, and we kept one for our art wall. Then we used the stamps to make special Valentines for some of our loved ones. After playing with the stamps for a bit, I figured out that if you stamp four times in a circle (touching at the bottom point), you can make a four-leaf clover! So we will be doing this project again soon for St. Patrick's Day...check back for those pictures in March!
Getting started

So happy!

Colin is finally to the point that he doesn't eat the window stickies!! He had a lot of fun playing with the Valentine's Day stickies:)
