Leap Day

Today was February 29th....Leap Day! We spent the day with Noah, Cody, and Gina; what better way could we spend it?? We have been trying to get together with them for the past 3 weeks, but we have both been dealing with sick kids. We were so sad to have missed Noah's birthday party because Ella was sick. So we made up for it today by going to Chuck E. Cheese. All four kids had a great time riding little rides, playing games, and dancing along to the Chuck E. Cheese show. I think I say this every time, but we are so lucky to have them as our friends.

This is my favorite picture. Ella was playing a water squirting game. She said, "Noah, I am doing it!!" because she was excited that she was hitting the target. Noah then said, "That's great, Ella!!" and he put his arm around her. They could not be cuter!

Playdate with the Villanos

Last Friday we got to have a playdate with the all of the Villano kids!! Chase and Cole were off of school due to Winter Holiday. So Stephanie and I took the kids to Catch Air and Zaxby's for lunch. Catch Air was absolutely crazy!! It was so, so packed!! I did not take a single picture because I had a hard enough time keeping up with the kids. I did snap a couple of pictures at lunch. Ella was excited to sit alone at a "kids table." She thought she was pretty cool with the big boys:)

Highs in the 70s

Last Thursday had highs in the low 70s, so our goal was to spend as much time outside as possible. The kids and I went to Riverside Park in Roswell and enjoyed the beautiful weather. We even convinced Daddy to join us for a picnic lunch! It was a great family afternoon!

Ella is learning how to pump her legs so she can push herself

We found balloon pieces on the grass area (must have been from a previous party). Ella had fun sorting them.
On a side note, Colin has a new favorite activity when we play outside in our yard. He stands at my car door whining. Why does he do this? He wants us to let him in so he can pretend to drive our car. So yes, I feel foolish to be hanging out in my car sometimes in order to entertain my car-obsessed son. He loves to push all of the buttons and "drive." Here we are looking tough:
The other day, I turned on my car and all three windshield wipers started, my AC was on full blast, and the radio was blaring (not to mention my rear-view mirror had slimy smudges and my steering wheel was sticky)......I knew exactly whom to blame!

Spring Flowers

See all of the different spring flowers start to bloom in our yard is like opening a present. I love finding out all the beauty our yard has in store for us!
When Ella picked this flower, she said, "This flower is for my Grandpa." So sweet!

Popsicle

Taking the Wheel

I love that now Colin gives Ella rides in the Jeep now. Ella is just like her mommy, she has very little interested in driving. And Colin is just like his daddy, born to be behind the wheel.

National Naval Aviation Museum

It was raining again on our last day at the beach, so we decided to take the kids to the National Naval Aviation Museum. It is only a 35min. drive into Pensacola. I wasn't sure if there would really be anything for the kids to do at the museum. But I figured they would at least have fun looking at giant fighter planes. I was so surprised to see that this was a very kid-friendly museum. The kids could climb into some of the airplanes and they even had a kids' play area. We all had a great time!! Colin was all over the place; he was a bit of a challenge to keep up with (which is true for most things we do these days). But when we put him inside some of the airplanes, he would stay there and push buttons forever! He was in heaven!! Ella enjoyed seeing all of the big planes and playing with other kids. I am so glad we took the kids to this museum. It made for a super fun family day!
